Every day at least one song - Week # 51 (January 12, 2026)

When I started Barstool Revolution I created a Facebook site and generated a daily thread where I would post at least one song a day. With social media sites increasingly useless for self-promotion to generate traffic to sites like this one - unless you are willing to shell out money - I decided to continue the “tradition” right here to add content and to hopefully generate more traffic to the site. As suggested, every day you will get at least one song, old or new that is, and of any genre. Stay tuned and check in daily!!

Blah, it’s Monday again and the same shit starts all over again. Let me start the week off with a blast from China and the Dummy Toys. Honestly this is as good as it gets when it comes to modern day hardcore punk. These ladies from Qinhgdao certainly know how to amp up the heat and the speed. Happy Monday!

Have I heard of the DeRellas before? Sure, I have come across the band’s name several times before but up until last night I have never heard a single song of theirs. Well, to say that I was positively surprised is an understatement. Why did nobody ever tell me to give them a listen? I suppose it’s never too late. These cats hail from London and play a great mix of ‘77 punk rock and glam rock and have released several full length albums since 2009. The song I am posting is off of their 2021 released album and is simply brilliant. Happy Tuesday!

Let’s just roll on with new(ish) stuff, this time from the beautiful city of Prague in the Czech Republic. The Fialky (Violets) have been going strong since 2000 and their ‘77 punk rock sound is infectious to say the least. This song goes into the hardships a young punk rocker goes through living with their parents, who after all mean well. I think we all went through that at some point. Great song, and a well made video for your Wednesday enjoyment. Have a good one!

The day started off early with shoveling snow, and after a long day at work I went to see the doctor with regard to the pain and problems in my legs/feet. After a traitorous cab ride home I arrived at the house freezing my ass off with my wife preparing an excellent chicken soup warming me up in no time. I nearly forgot to post a song for today before heading to bed but better late than never. Spunk hail from sunny Los Angeles and play old school punk rock in the vein of TSOL and other Southern California punk heroes of yesteryear. Good night folks!

Snow and ice are the least of our problems right now here in the US of A. ICE of another sort is definitely far more of an issue and danger to the little bit of Democracy we got left. Soji hail from Philadelphia and deliver not just great music with socio-critical lyrics, but infuse also color and life into the punk scene by centering around Black Queerness and Trans Punks. I welcome all this change and hope you had a great day. Have a great Friday night!

I wonder if any of you people out there are into Sports, specifically football, and with football I don’t mean American Football but the English Premier League. I have been a Liverpool fan for decades, and have seen many ups and downs, but this season is as lame as it can get. I wasted two valuable hours of my weekend this morning watching the team laboring on a draw to Burnley at home. I think I’ll just forget this season all together and spend more time on this website. I never had the Vaurio LP from 1984 but me thinks that needs to change. Any of you out there that haven’t read the Rock-O-Rama book yet, do yourself a favor and pick up a copy, it’s been translated into English now as well. Happy Saturday!

Hey ho people, Sunday it is and since it’s a long weekend here in the US of A, Sunday feels even better than usually. While the weather sucks and the world is in shambles it’s always important to keep a positive attitude in order to keep going. The video I am posting today screams of that positive attitude even though god knows how difficult it must have been for Tina to be around Ike. That doesn’t take anything aways from the song and the footage recorded 1971 in Italy on the RAI channel. Enjoy and have a great Sunday!
