Every day at least one song - Week # 24 (July 07, 2025)
When I started Barstool Revolution I created a Facebook site and generated a daily thread where I would post at least one song a day. With social media sites increasingly useless for self-promotion to generate traffic to sites like this one - unless you are willing to shell out money - I decided to continue the “tradition” right here to add content and to hopefully generate more traffic to the site. As suggested, every day you will get at least one song, old or new that is, and of any genre. Stay tuned and check in daily!!!

It’s back to work after the long holiday weekend, and for me that also means spending the entire day in a courtroom. And trust me, there are plenty of “small man, big tweet” characters to be tolerated on a daily basis, hence Dick Move from New Zealand really hit a nerve with their modern day punk rock smasher. And with that, have a good day and Happy Monday!

Time flies, ladies and gentlemen. I don’t mean that just nostalgically speaking, but more on a day to day basis. It’s already evening and I nearly forgot to post a song today because due to the cooling off in the weather I’ve felt like doing more after work and just came back inside after enjoying some quality time in the backyard. Well, speaking of summer sun, here a summer hit by Brooklyn’s Baby Shakes, a band that’s been around for a good minute now. I hope you keep enjoying the summer! Happy fuckin’ Tuesday!

Hey, I do like Cola, and as a matter of fact I have to be really careful as to how much I like it due to my diabetes. So, Outo’s angry outburst from their ‘84 EP “Many question, poison answer” is something I can fully endorse. And by the way, said EP has been reissued last year, so grab a copy while they last and pop open an ice cold Cola. Stay cool, and happy Wednesday!

I wish it was already Friday, but just one more day to get us there. I have been discovering really good ‘80s indie pop music lately and the Flatmates definitely fall into said category. Back when the “I could be in heaven” EP was released in ‘86 I would have thought it sucks as I was just starting out discovering bands like Septic Death et al., so it certainly wouldn’t have cut it. But decades later I enjoy these type of acts a lot, so maybe another genre to add to the ever growing list of interest. Happy Thursday folks!

I am very excited for European fans of good taste in music as Killer Kin’s European Tour kicks off today in Spain. If you like your Rock’N’Roll full of high energy with a singer reminiscent of Bon Scott and the sound taking you back to the days of the Stooges, then you should move your lazy ass out of your sofa and to their show should they hit your town. If I were still living in Europe, I’d definitely do just that next week when they hit the Sedel Club in Lucerne, Switzerland. Anyway, I hope these kids make it to boring Buffalo one of these days, after all it’s only a four hour drive from Connecticut where they hail from. Happy Friday and keep on rockin’ kids!

Hello Saturday, and after some rainfall during the night the air feels a little lighter and a little crispier, at least for now. I feel like blasting some ‘80s metal this morning, and Hallows Eve came to my mind. I recall that back in the mid-80’s I was very much obsessed with the artwork for the record, but I never got to buy a copy. Of course these days it’s a collector’s item, so not sure I ever will own a copy, but who the hell cares. Enjoy some loud guitars, wild drumming and maybe a slightly annoying singer. Have a great one!

Is the weather hot around the world? And there are still people who don’t believe in global warming…. Well, the type of Sundays depicted in this fantastic video are a thing of the past for me, but I hope others celebrate the end of the week with lots of drinks at a pub near them. One of the greatest songs ever by one of the greatest Aussie bands ever, and with that have a fabulous drunk Sunday!
