Every day at least one song - Week # 20 (June 09, 2025)
When I started Barstool Revolution I created a Facebook site and generated a daily thread where I would post at least one song a day. With social media sites increasingly useless for self-promotion to generate traffic to sites like this one - unless you are willing to shell out money - I decided to continue the “tradition” right here to add content and to hopefully generate more traffic to the site. As suggested, every day you will get at least one song, old or new that is, and of any genre. Stay tuned and check in daily!!!

Shit, it’s Monday morning again after a really busy weekend where I was pretty much busy with chores only. Such is life, and Canalterror’s “Zu Spat” is a fitting song for today, that is if you understand German. The LP the song is taken from is one of my favorite Deutschpunk records of all time, full of short and pissed off tracks typical of the ‘80s. Well, make the most of today, and Happy Monday!

After a day and night of rain, here comes the sunshine with temperatures around 70 degrees, perfect for myself, and with that it’s time to blast a ‘60s track to put me in a better mood before work. The Ugly Ducklings hailed from Toronto and released several singles in the Mid-60s. Their sound was definitely influenced by the Rolling Stones or the Who, but also by the American Garage Punk bands south of the border. Personally I love the footage of ‘60s Toronto, and I am sure it must have been some time to be around experiencing it. Happy Tuesday folks!

Well, there are days that I just don’t know what song I’d like to post. That is a true first world problem to have, I get that, but nevertheless it’s a problem my friends. Anyhow, eventually I came up with one of my favorite Modern-Day Hip Hop songs by Anti-Pop Consortium from Brooklyn. I saw these guys when I lived in London at a small venue in Brixton, and they were brilliant. It was just like a punk show with about hundred people dancing their asses off and have a good time on a weekday night. No idea whether these guys are even still around, but with that I hope you’ve had a good Wednesday!

“Ragazzi Come Tu E Me” is simply a fantastic song and you can’t help yourself by singing along to this 1990 hit. Klasse Kriminalle from Rimini in Italy have been going strong for decades, as a matter of fact looking at their discogs entry this year marks their fortieth anniversary. The Oi genre has seen a huge resurgence in recent years, and with that enjoy a blast from the past. Happy Thursday!

Welcome to Friday 13th folks, and with that in many parts of this idiotic world men, women and children are waking up to war. Unfortunately too many people keep buying this lie about some wars being for a good cause. I am not a total pacifist, but just look around as to who profits off of other people’s misery and it becomes blatantly clear that certain people become billionaires while others lose everything. Instead of being a keyboard warrior, do yourself a favor and learn about history and the facts of war.

Welcome to Saturday, folks. I’ve got a show to attend to tonight, looking forward seeing locals Violent Way and others. But before that there are chores and a million other things. And since it is weekend a kind reminder to watch your alcohol intake and not to end up like the gentlemen in Bad Livers in the video posted. Anything that incorporates a harp generally speaking gets me going, and this one is no exception. Have a good one!

I had a great time at the Templars/Violent Way et al show last night, and will for once try to write a proper show review. Much has been happening in the world with wars raging on, State Senators being killed, millions of people protesting across the U.S. while our Donald Duck in the White House celebrated his birthday with a big beautiful military parade. It’s a truly fucked up world with some very deranged people pulling the strings. On that note, happy Father’s day and have a safe day out there!
