Every day at least one song - Week # 22 (June 23, 2025)

When I started Barstool Revolution I created a Facebook site and generated a daily thread where I would post at least one song a day. With social media sites increasingly useless for self-promotion to generate traffic to sites like this one - unless you are willing to shell out money - I decided to continue the “tradition” right here to add content and to hopefully generate more traffic to the site. As suggested, every day you will get at least one song, old or new that is, and of any genre. Stay tuned and check in daily!!!

A shame I missed these guys last night as I had only discovered them yesterday and I wasn’t able to attend their show here in Buffalo. Good stuff though, angry and pissed off hardcore punk the way I like it, no metalcore or emocore or whatever, just plain in your face simple hardcore punk. Check out their bandcamp, and do go out see them when they hit your town. Try having a happy Monday!

I am not a big fan of social media, and in all fairness if it wasn’t for this website which I can promote at least a little bit that way, I’d have zero social media presence. But, at the same time if it wasn’t for social media I wouldn’t learn about new bands as much, and with that I give you Revisors from Bratislava, Slovakia, the city I was born in many decades ago. I like their modern Mod sound and with the sun beating down on us already it seems like the perfect soundtrack to another hot and steamy day. Happy Tuesday!

After a tame song yesterday let’s have an angry and aggressive Mid-week banger brought to you by Split System from Australia. These guys have been one of the hottest exports from down under, and mind you there is an abundance of good bands from OZ, old and especially current. I’ll keep it short, have a good one!

On this rainy morning I felt like blasting a ‘60s smasher hence I am giving you a fuzz rocker number by the Twilighters from Texas. Apparently they only ever released one single, but what a fantastic song this is. Again, I’ll keep it short and hope you have a great day!

Yesterday after having gotten off of the bus in downtown Buffalo in front of my work I was shown the middle finger by a Rastafarian walking down the sidewalk the opposite direction. You should know that as a bloody civil servant I do wear a tie and shirt so it is possible that said gentleman thought I am the perfect picture of the suppressor. In all fairness no offense taken, I just had a chuckle and moved on. With that enjoy your Friday with Shenley Duffus’ hit “Rukumbine”, a fantastic song I first heard on this compilation LP.

Morning ladies and gentlemen on this rather humid day, at least so far. Emergency hailed from wonderful Vancouver, British Columbia in Canaduh and recorded in my opinion a modern day Oi Punk classic in 2004 with the release of “1234” on Step-1-Music. Get said album as it will rock your socks off. To my surprise I found out that the band released another record just two years ago, and I will have to see if I can get that one as well. Not much else to say this morning as my stomach is churning so time for breakfast. Enjoy!

Sunday, June 29, 2025:

Happy Sunday folks, we’ve made it through another week. Well, during this morning’s walk with Olga the dog I nearly fell as the dog was pulling so hard trying to go after a squirrel that I almost lost balance. Not sure what that tells me how the rest of the day will go, but hopefully I can keep the balance so to speak. This particuluar post is dedicated to a gentleman in Germoney who always checks out these posts thanks to bluesky, an otherwise pretty useless social media platform. Out of Middle Class Fantasies came Killer Pralinen, who in 1982 released just this one fine 12”EP on the famous Aggressive Rock Produktionen label out of Berlin. Great punk sung in German, but not Deutschpunk. Stay hydrated!
